Presentation on the Sustainable Chemistry module – slides from ViCEPhEC19
This year we have a team of 6 undergraduate project students. Projects range from looking at perceptions of accessibility for physically disabled students in the laboratories, through the ethics of patenting medical discoveries and onto investigating the degradation of polymers. Other projects include developing outreach activities, looking at the language of chemistry, and investigating hybrid materials. Welcome to Flo, Thom, Connor, Brandon, Victor and Edwin.
I’ve had a couple of publications come out recently. These links should give access:
Learn to Embrace the Enabling Power of Technology. This is an opinion piece in Nature Reviews Chemistry.
Characterising patterns of engagement of different participants in a public STEM-based analysis project This is an account of an outreach project with Dr Jane Essex, published in the International Journal of Science Education Part B.
Back in October five project students started. Two are working on hybrid materials and three on new antimicrobial materials. Welcome to Luke, Haleema, Ebony, Rachel and Rohan.
